We tailored a Panel PC to meet the specific needs of a startup company in Saudi Arabia.

Background and Challenges

DTC has requested the development of an 8.4" fanless, wide-temperature panel PC capable of data communication with storage and battery systems, ensuring data protection during power outages.

1. The B3 power charging and I/O board design

This board will facilitate power delivery and battery charging, incorporating overcharge and short-circuit protection to ensure optimal safety and performance. Furthermore, we will make the necessary adjustments to the placement of I/O ports and connectors.

2. Design of the enclosure

The enclosure will provide a secure and temperature-controlled environment for all electronic components, preventing potential overheating issues. We typically offer two ID Concept designs for your consideration. Both are capable of operating in environments up to 60°C. Furthermore, our team will prioritize the development of a design that facilitates the straightforward assembly of the B1 and B2 boards.

Solution

We are aware that the climate in Saudi Arabia is characterised by high temperatures and the frequent occurrence of sandstorms. To address these challenges, we assist our customers in designing an ideal model with the following features: high-temperature resistance and a fanless design. Our touch panel is designed to withstand temperatures ranging from 85°C to -20°C.

The product's fanless design ensures uninterrupted operation in harsh environments, such as sandstorms. The board will manage power delivery and battery charging functions, including overcharge and short-circuit protection. Furthermore, we will make the necessary adjustments to the positions of the output I/O ports and connectors. The enclosure will provide a secure and temperature-controlled environment for all electronic components, preventing any potential overheating issues.

Application

We typically provide two types of ID concepts for customers to choose from, both of which are designed for operation in environments up to 60°C. Moreover, we will give priority to a design that allows our customers to easily assemble the B1 and B2 boards without assistance.
